These are not all of the deer harvested from our area, however, these are deer that we thought new hunters might like to see and or the hunter wanted the picture posted here.  Our area is full of big deer.  52 is an "island" of hunting completely surrounded by impact area (non hunting) on all sides.  Our area is not usually bowhunted due to training.  There are no "honey holes" in area 52, you are just as likely to shoot a monster 100 ft from the road as you are 1 mile in the back.  The area is literally a crossing site to the river bottoms, a range, or another ridge.  During the rut, large deer from the impact cross here in search of receptive does.  So if you want to know "where did that big one come from" the odds are very good that deer was in 52 for the first time the day he was killed and knowing where he came from will absolutely not produce a similar animal harvest again.  Frankly, the secret to hunting our area is being at the right place at the right time.  Enjoy the photos and we will see you next year. Dave, Steve, and Matt.
