Your area guides are Dave Rennaker (270) 877-2883, Steve Delabar (270) 369-7378, and Matt Sheets (270) 351-2507.  All three are career soldiers that either have been, or are, stationed on Fort Knox and are very familiar with the area.

We meet at 0500 (5 am) right behind Long John Silvers at 1589 N Wilson RD in Radcliff, Kentucky SEE MAP.  There are several other guides that meet in that area, however, we are in the right rear corner of the building right beside Long John Silvers.  Normally there will be a large 25 ft Camper there as well.  We meet, verify information, brief, and leave for area 52 in a convoy.  We will not wait on anyone!

Then we proceed to the zone 5 game warden check point where we stop for approximately 2 minutes.  Then we proceed to the hunting area.  We maintain our "base station" directly across from Crane Range.  You are required to check out with us there when finished hunting for the day.  Under no circumstances can you leave Hunting area 52 without checking out with us.  After you check out with us you must also check out with the game wardens at the zone 5 checkpoint.  If you have harvested a deer you then proceed to the Fort Knox Deer Check station.

In accordance with the Fort Knox Gun Hunt Rules you are required to call us and check in no later than three days prior to the hunting date (Fort Knox Rule #1)

Additional Information:

We will supply you with a 2 wheel deer cart to retrieve your deer.  Come back to the "base station" and we will give you the cart.

We will take digital pictures of all bucks harvested and post on the web.

Stay in our area.  If you shoot a deer and it runs across the road: GET YOUR GUIDE! There are areas we can cross to get your deer and areas we cannot.  If you are seen dragging a deer from an unauthorized area without a 52 guide the Game Warden will be notified, regardless of the story.

You may park anywhere around the edge of the hunting area, also there is a parking area to the right on porter river road prior to Crane Range.  You may park in the open field there, however, DO NOT DRIVE INTO THE WOODS OR ON TOP OF THE HIGH GROUND ON THAT TRAIL.  You must drag your deer from the top.
